This one is a special one because my eldest sister is getting married!!! It was such an unbelievable blessing and honor to document sweet, intimate moments of Anna and my almost brother-in-law. It is so good to say that I AM GETTING A BROTHER. Sorry sisters, but I’ve always wanted a brother. Thanks Anna for picking a good one. I promise I’ll still go shopping with you, but I’m a little more excited to spend time with my new bro!

Robby and Anna met swiping right over 2 years ago on Hinge. Little did they know they had already crossed paths multiple times before. From attending the same high school for a year in Charlotte to attending the same college at UNC Chapel Hill, Robby and Anna were meant to meet and eventually fall in love.  They went on their first date in Raleigh and realized they lived just walking distance to each other. How crazy is that!! As they got to know each other, Anna and Robby realized they had common interests for all things UNC as well as a mutually priority for their friends and family. Their love for life has never wavered as they have already begun a journey of traveling the world together.

This happy couple have been to a total of 18 states and 5 countries together. It is safe to say that Anna and Robby are the perfect travel companions; all of their friends and family joke that they must travel for a living! It seems that every time I get on Snapchat or Instagram, Anna and Robby are at the airport, site seeing, or on a top of a mountain. My jealousy for their life never ceases. This duo is always looking forward to the next adventure – from hiking the national parks to soaking up the sun on the beach. And let’s not forget that Robby actually proposed on a hike at Mt. Rainier and surprised Anna upon their return with family waiting for them at the airport. That was the beginning of their happily ever after!

It was a HONOR to shoot Anna’s engagement photos! These are the photos that, as a family, we will look back on for years to come and it is a BLESSING to have played such a critical part. We started off at our parent’s neighborhood country club to capture the flare of the sun and to dance on the balcony. Then, we adventured to Misty Meadows, a therapeutic horse farm where my mom works. This farm has such a soft spot in my heart for many reasons so I was more than excited to shoot here. Misty Meadows is full of love, integrity, compassion and loyalty. It was the perfect place to end their session. Far from all the hustle in bustle of the city, the farm made us feel like we were in our own little country getaway. It was surreal.

As Anna’s younger sister, I have high expectations of who I’ve envisioned for Anna’s husband. She deserves the best of the best. Someone who will hold her hand in the worst of times, kiss her when she feels unloved, sit beside her when she is lonely and always stay loyal to his promises. Robby is that person. I have watched him exhibit patience, grace, care, adoration, support and encouragement to Anna. They have a beautiful relationship encompassing all my hopes and dreams for my sister. So thank you Robby for being the biggest blessing I could ever ask for. Welcome to our crazy family. I can’t wait to officially call you my brother!
