The Wedding of Elizabeth and Sam might be one of the most whimsical weddings I have been a part of as a photographer. The ferris wheel wedding was a carefully curated colorful event, an experience which began from the moment guests received their custom invitations in the mail with a detailed map of important locations to the Bride and Groom’s love story. The wedding took place on the Bride’s family’s property in North Carolina. Guests arrived on a vintage bus and were transported into a circus and carnival themed experience, topped off with a Ferris Wheel…the same Ferris Wheel used on the set of Stranger Things! As if this wedding couldn’t get any cooler, the details were incredible, with customized mugs for cocktails to be served in, custom Black Moth Bar cocktails to choose from, and even a custom wedding gown. A beautiful sign, created by Unspoken Designs, directed guests to the ceremony tent, the wall of sweets, popsicle cart, popcorn station, and caricature artist.

It was originally supposed to rain all day, but we managed to work around the scattered showers for some beautiful shots and the Bride and Groom didn’t let anything rain on their parade. Elizabeth and Sam had their first look in front of the Ferris wheel, followed by a ride on the Ferris Wheel for some unforgettable photos.

The ceremony took place under a beautiful white tent, where the couple exchanged vows in front of colorful arches covered in gorgeous, brightly colored floral arrangements created by Seeded Events. The reception was filled with guests dancing to the live music, EP Band, some incredible food, and guests taking part in all the activities the Bride and Groom had for them. Caricatures from a well-known Disney caricature artist and taking a ride on the ferris wheel were on the top of a lot of guests’ to-do list! With so many carnival themed treats, guests couldn’t go wrong with whatever they chose to end the night with!

Elizabeth and Sam’s ferris wheel wedding was so much fun and I had a blast capturing all the fun that the Bride and Groom worked so hard on for their guests. All the bright colors and activities were amazing and so fun to capture. More importantly, it was an honor to be a part of this couple’s special day and see the love in their eyes as they started their life together as husband and wife.
