A wedding with the guest list of eight was not planned or dreamt of by Ashley and Brandon (thanks to current pandemic), but I can promise you it was everything they have ever wanted and more.
To give you a little back story . . . Ashley, her sister Madison, and I went graduated from the same high school (shoutout to Cov Day!). Ashley was even my sister’s roommate freshman year of college. So it is safe to say that I knew this family and their hearts well.
Ashley messaged me six days before her big day explaining how they had to postpone their big celebration until September; however, they still wanted to get married on their original date of March 29th. Without hesitation, I said YES YES YES!!
The special day took place, in Blackstock, SC, at their friends’ old-fashioned cabin along with endless green acres. Emotions ran high, wind blew fast, and bees buzzed as Ashley and Brandon became husband and wife surrounded by only immediate family and their officiant. Although we forgot the bouquet as Ashley walked down the aisle (don’t worry we laughed about it later), there was such a peaceful atmosphere with a few joyful tears, genuine prayers and countless kisses.
Ashley and Brandon will get to have their first dance, bouquet toss, and sparkler exit a little down the road. But for now, they are married and that is enough.
