When you surrender your heart to the Almighty, his Holy Spirits lives in you.

When I witnessed a Dominican Republic man give his life to Christ, I felt my heart feel as though it was going to beat out of my chest. I did not hear the Lord’s audible voice, but I felt his presence. There are feelings that can only be felt in the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is more than the feeling of having butterflies when you go on a first date. It is more than the feeling you get when you say, “I do” to your soul mate. It is the presence of the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth.

“And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.” – Act 4:31

God is not human; therefore, he is not limited. There are no limits to what God is and what he can do. God has the power to speak to us in any way he chooses. He handpicks people in our lives for a purpose. You are not rooming with a random person you met on Facebook for no reason. You are not heartbroken by a boy’s hurtful actions for no reason. Brokenness leaves room for healing. God allows you to go through hardships because he knows you are strong enough to handle it. God placed certain things, people and events, in your life for a purpose. You may not know it yet, but things do not just happen. You do not just almost have a car accident. God protected you. You do notjustalmost overdose on pills. God protected you. God protects you from the unseen in your everyday routine – whether you realize it or not.

“Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we’ll never comprehend what he knows and does” – Psalm 147:5

Picture this. Your flight is delayed three hours. Yet, once you finally land in your destination, you witness a sunset. And just for a second the sunset relieved you from anxiety after a postponed flight. That was not justa coincidence. God created everything with beauty for our enjoyment and as a reminder of his power.

“He had made everything beautiful in its time” – Ecclesiastes 3:11

The Lord created everything in the world to perfection for each of us. Earth is not just beautiful because we are told that it is. The Lord made it all to illustrate how much he loves us. Heloves us so much that he sacrificed hisonlyson, so that YOU could live, so that YOU could be where you are rightnow. We will never be able to comprehend the volume of adoration he has for us.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need” – Matthew 6:33

Once you begin to listen to God and trust him, you will see his works. But, when you do not focus your attention on the Lord, beauty will bypass you.

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” – Philippians 3:20-21

There may be thousands of questions that you want God to answer. So, here is the good news for all your inquiry. Once you are home, all your questions will be answered. I am not talking about the home where your childhood hands are imprinted on the front steps. You will finally behome when you are face to face with Jesus. In that moment, everythingwill make sense. You may not get what you ask for now. But, you will and it all begins with surrendering your soul to Jesus Christ.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” – Revelation 21:4

When you learn more about the Lord, you learn more about who you are and the purpose he has for you.

It all begins with surrender
