Chris and Katie came into my life right after college when we were all starting out our first jobs at Wells Fargo. I quickly became friends with them and over time their relationship started to blossom as they became more flirty and began sneaking off to eat lunch together. Even after I moved on to another company, I kept in touch with these two. At the time, I had just started my photography business and none of us could’ve predicted that one day I would be their wedding photographer! Chris and Katie reached out to me after they got engaged and asked me to do their engagement photos, which of course I was over the moon about! We headed to Max Patch in Asheville at golden hour for their engagement session, playing off their outdoorsy personalities and capturing their love in front of their favorite backdrop: the mountains.

Chris and Katie later asked me to be their wedding photographer and I couldn’t have been more excited. Their wedding was originally planned for 2020, but was postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic. Their ceremony was at the Homewood Wedding Venue, a dreamy castle-like venue in Asheville, North Carolina. They said their vows in front of a beautiful stone fireplace draped in gorgeous florals, surrounded by family and close friends. The wedding was very intimate, which is exactly what Chris and Katie wanted for this day. Over the course of the celebration, the couple was just giddy to be around each other and it was really sweet to witness the pure happiness of their day.

What an honor it was to see this relationship come full circle. From being there in the early days of flirtation and excitement, to watching this couple commit to one another for life in an intimate ceremony, it was such a beautiful story to be a part of.
